Q. How much would you say that you’ve grown since your last record?
I think I’ve grown tremendously. I think as a person and musically too. I’ve also started to mature in my taste in music and in songwriting especially. I’m starting to be a little more conceptual with lyrics – the new record has a lot of different stories and concepts that have gone into each song.
Q.You obviously garnered massive popularity at a very young age. How did you go about dealing with it?
I just kind a just dealt with it. It’s kinda hard to do things sometimes since everything is so nit-picked at, so if I do one thing wrong, it kinda gets blasted upon. But I supposed I’m really luck to have a great family, great friends and a great dog that can help me find some normality in life to keep me sane.
Q. So, you’re only 15. How do you juggle your career and school?
Well, I do online school, so I do my tests, exams and assignments on my laptop. And I have a neatly drawn schedule, so apart from touring and all, I still have time to study.
Q. What’s your favorite subjects at school?
I’m not a big science guy. I hate science! I love anything with history – social studies, world cultures, stuff like that.
Q. Some popstars have put themselves, will you be jumping on the bandwagon too?
I don’t think so. I just don’t think it’s really me to do a movie. To me, I’m a musician – I’d like to put on a live show and make music for my fans.
Q. What are the five songs playing in your iPod right now?
Our Day Will Come by Amy Winehouse, My Blood by Ellie Golding, Coexist by The XX, Skyfall by Adele and Heart of Life by John Mayer.
Q. Do you have any celebrity crushes?
Emma Watson. I love Emma! It’s probably because due to Perks of Being a Wallflower! And she’s so hot!
Q. How would you describe your ideal girlfriend then?
I don’t really have a type. But I would like an honest girl whose funny. I’m not fond of shy girls.
Q. What are your favorite records of all time?
Back to Black by Amy Winehouse, Frontier by Journey, Life is Good by NAS
Q. What would people be surprised to know about you?
I don’t listen to a pop music, even though I’m a pop artist.
Q. If you could change one thing about the music industry, what would it be?
I would change how it’s sometimes not about the music, because it seems that you just need to have every aspect, and that’s gotta change!
