Mark your calendars for November 24th and 25th, because Malaysia’s leading creative arts festival Urbanscapes 2012 will be bigger and better this year, as it will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year!
Taking place in Padang Astaka in Petaling Jaya, Urbanscapes 2012 will feature a fantastic line-up of global artists and musicians from all over the world, including the band Sigur Ros (Iceland), Ernest Zacharevic from Lithuania, and Malaysia’s indie darling, Yuna! Urbanscapes 2012 will also be a treat for Malaysians as local singing sensation, Sheila Majid will also be bringing her vocal talents to the stage, making Urbanscapes 10th anniversary a special one.
Volkswagen has also formed a partnership with Urbanscapes, and thanks Volkswagen, fans can get a chance to meet Yuna, and even stand a chance to win a long-term loan of a VW Polo for up to 3 months that features your own design, if you take part in the Volkswagen Colour Your Ride competition!
Urbanscapes 2012 will also be giving back to the community, as a portion from all ticket sales will be donated to a number of charity causes, too!
Furthermore, Urbanscapes are excited to announce that there will be a little film project, where local filmmakers are asked to convey their thoughts in film, about what the number ten means to them. These videos will come in a number of genres, from sci-fi to docudramas. Poetry-enthusiasts can also catch some Poetry Slam action from Poetry Cafe KL, and even be captivated by architecture-meets-audio visual trippery from Kontak! and themancalleduncle.

Home to the showcase and collaborative sets from the likes of Raising the Bar and 33RPM, as well as signature sets from Charlie Lim, Circle of Sound, Tenderfist, Enterprise and more.
