The Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (MUMO) has officially announced the judges for The Next Miss Universe Malaysia. The 5-episode reality series is part of the Miss Universe Malaysia pageant and will air its pilot episode on 11 November on 8TV, leading up to the Miss Universe Malaysia gala finale on 10 December.
The judges are TV presenter, freelance journalist and professional host, Ben Ibrahim; actress, producer and fashion-line designer and owner Kavita Sidhu and former Miss Universe Malaysia and National Director of the Miss Universe Malaysia Organization, Andrea Fonseka.
So, the judges for this coming Miss Universe Malaysia are:
Andrea Foneska
Harbouring the dream of being crowned Miss Malaysia Universe since she was young, Andrea’s dream became reality at the young age of 19. She finally donned the prized tiara in 2004. Andrea is now the National Director of the Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation, having successfully rebranded the pageant early 2010. She is both Host and Executive Producer of its Reality-TV program, winning the hearts of Malaysian and international beauty pageant followers alike.
Ben Ibrahim
Ben Ibrahim has been working as a TV Presenter since 2005, when a chance encounter with a TV show producer launched his career in the Broadcast, Entertainment and Journalism Industry. Prior to that, he was employed in the corporate world in Marketing and Corporate Affairs. Ben is also a freelance journalist and columnist. He has written for the New Straits Times, various English magazines in Malaysia, and currently writes for the Star newspaper.
Benjamin Toong
Benjamin Toong has enjoyed more than a decade as a runway trainer, fashion stylist and runway choreographer, and has been a fashion stylist for local and international fashion magazines. He has choreographed for many local designers and international brands such as Bvlgari, Tag Heuer, Boss, Emernegildo Zegna, Mont Blanc, Vencleef & Arpels, Jaspal, Diesel, Bonia, Keith Kee, Carven Ong, Alvin Tay, Eric Choong and Alamanda Shopping Mall, amongst others.In 2009, he was also appointed a judge and Professional Runway Trainer for Ford model Supermodel of the world Malaysia 2009.
Kavita Sidhu
Kavita Sidhu is a versatile actress and a talented film producer and designer. She first hit the limelight as a professional model, appearing in many TV commercials in Malaysia and Europe, and gracing the catwalks in Asia, France, United Kingdom and Germany. She is currently an Executive Producer of Persona Multimedia and Co-Producer for Persona Pictures. Besides co-producing and hosting a Fashion TV series that is being shot on location in London, Singapore and Dubai, she is in collaboration with renowned Film Producer and Director Shuhaimi Baba.
Nadine Ann Thomas
Nadine has always exhibited a flair and passion for fashion and art, growing up she won numerous art and singing competitions. Her modeling career took off when she first walked for KL Fashion week and MIFA. In 2010 Nadine won the coveted title of Miss Universe Malaysia, she then represented her country for the Miss Universe finals in Las Vegas. Nadine has been made mega-store Parkson’s Style Ambassador and was also nominated in Females 50 Most Gorgeous 2010. She has also opened an online-shop selling clothes and giving fashion advice to young women. Nadine is now pursuing her talents and skills in becoming a DJ, Model and host.
