We all remember her in her leading role as Rose in the 1997 hit film, Titanic. Kate Winslet was born in 5 October 1975, and began her acting in 1991 in Britain. She was soon graced as Hollywood royalty, carrying a string of film awards like the Academy Award, Screen Actors Guild, and even a Grammy for her contribution as a vocalist in the soundtrack for Christmas Carol: The Movie in 2011.
Kate has graced the red carpet numerous times to know what she wears best. Here’s a recap from way back then, to what she wore recently at the premiere of Titanic in 3D.
1998 Here at the Oscars, Kate wore a velvet emerald dress by Alexander McQueen with gold embroidery which clearly was quite a risky dress to pull off. But her strawberry-blonde locks, smile and charisma certainly drew our attention away from the dress.
1999 At the premiere of one of her more independent project – Holy Smoke (1999), Kate kept it simple by wearing black from head-to-toe, including a black leather jacket. Not something we’d consider appropriate for a red carpet since a simple black dress would do, Kate!
2001 Believe it or not, Kate appeared at the 2001 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards rocking a tight, body-hugging leather halter gown, just five months after giving birth to her daughter, Mia. Hats off to Kate for not only getting in shape so soon, but to squeezing into a leather dress too!
2005 At the Oscar’s, Kate wowed the crowd by turning up in a sweet periwinkle blue gown by Badgley Mischka that flaunted her gorgeous hourglass figure. We’re completely mesmerized with understated jewelry and her demure hair-do.
2010 Kate channels glamour and shows off her slimmer physique at the 2010 Oscars in a silky silver gown by Yves Saint Laurent to complement her $2.5million Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace! Such a brilliant trick that we’re gonna start wearing silky silver dresses from now on!
2012 Kate is absolutely bedazzling at the recent London premiere of Titanic-3D, wearing a black crystal-encrusted gown by Jenny Packham. The dress definitely complements her gorgeous silhouette!
