Calling all rock chicks, put on your boots and spiked leather jackets and rock out in the mosh pit this October for Rockaway Festival 2012. With a bigger and better line-up of homegrown rock bands such as Hujan, Koffin Kanser, Bunkface and more, a variety of international bands will also be there to leave their mark in Malaysian rock’n’roll history!
The international line-up includes Soulfly, Unearth, Set Your Goals and MXPX All Stars from the United States, Pee Wee Gaskins from Indonesia, and Plainsunset from Singapore. Well-loved DJ act, Twilight Actiongirl will also have their own set at the festival.
Apart from a night of rock’n’roll mayhem, festival grounds will also feature a second stage called The WKND Sessions Stage which features indie flavor to the festival with local independent acts such as Guba, Darren Ashley and Citizens of Ice Cream. Furthermore, Malaysia’s favorite indie group, OAG is also slated to perform on The WKND Sessions Stage after a 5-year hiatus!
There’s no reason to not go, especially since organizer, Livescape Asia revealed that FREE shuttle bus services will be arranged for Rockaway Festival ticket holders that will take them from KL Sentral to Sepang International Circuit and vice versa on festival day. The time-table will be available of the festival’s website soon.
Addressing the issues of transportation to the venue, Livescape Asia also revealed that there will be FREE shuttle busses for Rockaway Festival ticket holders that will take them from KL Sentral to Sepang International Circuit and vice versa. These shuttle busses will begin their route at 11am on festival day. The shuttles are available for all Rockaway Festival ticket holders on a first come first serve basis, so simply flash your ticket or the ticket print-out and consider transportation sorted!
