Marchesa is known for amazing details and it is the general symbol of a woman’s feminity. Every girl dreams of putting on a Marchesa gown on day – we sure do!
For Marchesa’s Spring 2013 collection – we’ve noticed a completely different angle. Compared to the previous collection – it seems as if Marchesa has gotten inspiration from a very ethinic indian and arabic background. From the way the materials wrap around the models bodies to the way they have put together the model’s hair.
Notice that in some of the designs, we actually get the image of a sari.. right? Well, we think that’s a great step for Marchesa to be taking. Encorperating these arabic/indian inspired designs into their collection adds so much more viarity as designers and a fashion brand.
All in all, we’re pretty impressed from this Spring 2013 collection – though it doesn’t go hand-in-hand with their previous designs, it’s nice to see a little more exploration on the runway. Especially during fashion week.
Trend Alert
We noticed not only the beading, but the colours used in this collection ranges from deep dark shades of purple, blue and even pink – though, there are some peices that display a light and bright print – which is very interesting to see through the collection. It gives that little sense of fun.
