Claudia Schiffer is known as the original supermodel – from her dazzling blonde hair to her iconic smile. Appearing on countless magazine covers and becoming the face of several brands like Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and many more. She is a wife and a mother of three – she is a face we can never forget.
Born and raised in Rheinburg, Germany Claudia Schiffier grew up wanting to follow in her fathers foot steps which was law. She was studying her way towards being a lawyer but at the age of 17, Claudia was spotted in a nightclub by Michel Levaton, the boss of Metropolitan Model Agency – and he instantly signed her up to become his next model.
Living the fast paced modeling dream, Schiffer became one of the highest paid models in the world. After awhile, she started to dabble in acting and hosting.
Now, she’s hit her 40’s and unlike most models, there’s no stopping her. Schiffer won the Elle Style Awards trophy for Model of the Year and it seems like she’s not planning to retire anytime soon. This year, she posed again for Guess – in a black and white collection of ads celebrating the brands 30th anniversary.

1. She is one of the five dubbed supermodels in the world. The other five are, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista.
2. After giving birth to her second daughter, Claudia posed naked for the cover of the June 2010 issue of Vogue. The photoshoot was done by famous designer, Karl Lagerfeld.
3. Claudia Schiffer is fluent in three languages – German (her mother tongue), English and French.
4. In 1995, Claudia Schiffer opened a chain of Fashion Cafe restaurants with fellow super models, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Elle Macpherson. Soon after, the restuarant encountered a few problems and business accusations were thrown. Schiffer withdrew from the venture and said that it was because of old issues between her and Naomi Campbell.
5. She had a short relationship with the famous magical, David Copperfield and they got engaged – but called it off soon after. In 2002, Claudia Schiffer married film director and producer, Matthew Vaughn. The couple now have three children together and reside in England.
