REVIEW: Katy Perry’s Part Of Me

Always thought that you couldn’t fit in to society because you seemed to act and like different things… perhaps you always thought that there was a chance to make fairy tales come true? Katy Perry is one of them and she had a different approach when it came to life! We had the chance to watch ‘Part of Me’ this morning and here is what we have to say about the documentary.

The documentary reveals the ups and downs which Katy goes through while she strives to become a celebrity. Growing up in a staunch Christian family, Katy had to take her stand when it came to being practical and being religious.

Although she was offered different opportunities, Katy stood up for what she believed in. When different celebrities such as Avril Lavigne told her that she should become the next Madonna, people around her knew that deep down inside, Katy just wanted to be the first Katy in the world. She wanted to be herself and when she was given the opportunity to prove herself, she took the offer and proved to the world that she had fans. Katy went through her fair share of hard times when she was emotionally and finally down to the extent she didn’t have any cash for herself.

In terms of relationships, we didn’t get to see much of the chemistry between her and Russel Brand but we could relate to the type of pain which Katy went through when she broke up with him. The hardest part when it comes to relationship is when one asks you to make a pick between your career or your husband.

One thing which was certainly entertaining through out the documentary were her songs which she sang during her world tour in different countries. From Gospel songs to Fireworks and to Teenage Dream, you name it and it’s featured in this documentary.

Katy Perry: Part of Me will officially be out in cinemas on 30th August 2012 and it is a 1 hour and 42 minutes long movie. Click here to find out more.
