We know him as Edward Cullen on Twilight – the handsome vampire. Now, he’s moving on to bigger roles after a very big and public heartbreak.  But we found some pretty interesting facts about this Twilight star – you may or may not already know. But here goes!

1. He was a model
Yeap, you heard that right ladies. Before he started this whole acting career – Rob Pattinson started modeling at the age of 12. He told British magazine Closer, “When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so i got lots of jobs… Then, I Became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modelling  career”(source) – well, we give him props for trying at such a young age!

2. He has two ‘hot’ sisters
The good looking genes did not just go to Rob. He has two older sisters, Victoria and Lizzy – and they are gorgeous! Lizzy is a singer/songwriter – infact, she did the background vocals for Twlight and Breaking Dawn. Where as Victoria sppears to be into politics and out of the showbiz senario. The occassionally show up and red carpet events to support their little brother Rob.

3. He’s an executive producer
After his stint of acting – Robert Pattinson decided that he wanted to try being behind the camera. So, he took the place as executive producer in the 2012 flick, Remember Me. He also starred in this movie.

4.  He started in theater
No, he did not magically wake up one day to turn into the Twlight star that he is today. Before it all happened, he was in theater. In fact, he was discovered while doing plays at the Barnes Theater Company in London.

5. He was cut out of his first movie
Did you know that he was cut out of his first ever role in 2004? He character in the movie, Vanity Fair  staring Reese Witherspoon, were left out – though if you have the DVD version, you can actually get a small glimpse of Robert as Rawdy Crawley.

6. He doesn’t drive
Well, it’s time to put your expectations a little lower. Robert Pattinson will not be picking you up for a date with his own car – but instead, he might come with a cab. He told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview, ‘I don’t actually know how to drive. It’s absolutely terrifying’ – well, if he does wanna get away from the paparazzi, he might actually have to learn how to drive. Though, we give him props for admitting he’s scared of driving.
