This girl has grown up in front of the camera – at only the age of 20 she has a record deal, an acting deal and now… she’s a judge for the upcoming X-factor. Pretty impressive huh?
She started on the screens of Disney, and moved on to writing love songs – we’re taking a look at her style through time. It wasn’t always that she was as bright and colourful as she is today.
Demi Lovato’s popularity started to shine in 2008 – and ever since then, there’s no stopping this starlight. Her style was simple and conservative – it is probably because she was only just starting out. She stayed to the dark tones most of the time – plus, she was 16 – so that’s the age where you only begin to understand your personal style and how you want to dress up.
In 2009, she started to play around with colour and textures when it came to fashion. Though, we wouldn’t agree that it was a good look for her – since she’s young, she gets a pass for at least trying to get out there. Still keeping to her jet black hair – Demi made it kind of her signature look in a way.
So, 2010 was probably when she decided to really bring out all her best looks. And she did. Just hitting 18 years-old, Demi showed us that she can really bring it to the red carpet. She starts to know what parts of her body to flaunt and what to hide. This is also the year that she starts to experiment with different hair colours too.
Now 2011, is when it all became a drastic change. She went from this sweet little girl, to this fiesty and fierce hobo-chic personality. She became more daring with her hair – and her style. Bringing out more skin then we needed onto the red carpet. She still continued to appreciate her curves and flaunted what she could. This is also the time she came out with her album – so all eyes were on her. But she took the limelight pretty well.
This year, Demi Lovato really shows us that their is no stopping her. She’s got a huge boost of confidence and she’s willing to explore as much as she can. Showing us she can look classy and edgy at the same time. As well as her hair, she’s gone on a major exploring spree. From dying it bright red to pure blond and even adding a touch of pink and tourquise to the combination – she’s really going all out.
As you can see, her style has not only evolved, but her personality has too. From her music to her achievements – Demi Lovato is really reaching for the stars. We do wish her all the best – and we’re pretty excited to see what else she’s going to be bringing to the table.
