Three of hip hop’s most influential DJs and the country’s best dance crews came together to rock Kuala Lumpur at Stage Club on Friday night (10th August) during the much anticipated ‘Breathe and Stop’ tour presented by adidas Originals.
We had a chance to meet with the artists of the night, DJ Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest/Lucy Pearl), DJ Maseo (DeLa Soul), and DJ Shortkut (Beat Junkies/I.S.P/Triple Threat) before they headed to the decks to spin the night away.
Take a look at what they had to say:
The Breathe and Stop tour, which kicked off in Bangkok on August 4th, will follow in five of SEA’s most iconic cities. Kuala Lumpur was the second stop, then they headed to Saigon on the 11th of August, Singapore on the 16th and they end their tour in Manila on the 18th of August. The crux of the shows is to bring together the DJs, the dancers and the audience under one groove, united in their quest for the perfect beat and showcase the “all originals represent” anthem.
