As girls, we all want to find a way to make our skin clear and fair. We try anything and everything, from products to treatments but at the end of the day, it starts with what kind of effort you personally put in. A clear and flawless face won’t happen overnight, but it can happen if you have the right ways to follow. Here are eight tips that will help you achieve that flawless skin that you deserve!
1. Sunscreen
We’re sure that you’ve heard about all the different kinds of warnings when it comes to sun exposure – but yet it is still something that a lot of people don’t understand. The idea that sunscreen should only be used when swimming or hitting the beach – that’s only just the beginning. Sunscreen should become a necessity in your everyday routine. Whether you’re indoors or outdoors – always apply sunscreen before you step out of the house. Try to find a sunscreen with 30SPF and above. Protect your skin from those dangerous sun-rays!
2. Eat Right
What you put in your mouth is also a factor when it comes to clear skin. If you’re constantly munching on oily foods and junk food – well then, it’s definite that you will experience a few problems when it comes to your skin. We’re not saying that you should throw out all your favorite sinful snacks – but balance your meals out with fruits and vegetables. It will do good for your health and your skin!
3. Hydrate Yourself
We are sure you’ve heard it a thousand times, drinking water is the key to health – well, it really is. Drink as much water as you can in order to detoxify your skin. The more water you consume, the more toxins are removed from your body. Bad skin comes from bad bacteria that surrounds your body inside and out. Try to drink 1.5 litres of water a day (that is about 7-8 glasses) to get that healthy glow.
4. Wash, Tone, Moisturize
These are the common basics in a girl’s cleansing ritual. So, why do you have to these things in this order? Well, washing your face will cleanse off the dirt on your face. Toner can help close pores and tighten the cell gaps after the cleansing process – when your pores are open, it is easier for dirt to seep into your pores. Then lastly, moisturizing is a must in order to hydrate your skin. Be sure to find a moisturizer that suits your skin – dry, combination or oily. You are the only one who will know what suits your face, and what feels good.
5. Remove ALL make-up
We know that after a long day out at work or after a night of partying – removing make-up can seem like a chore. But, it is a MUST. Use a good make up remover to remove every inch of make up. From your mascara to your foundation – don’t be lazy! After you’ve removed all that make up, move on to the ‘Wash, Tone, Moisturize’ routine. No matter how late or how tired you are, don’t torture your skin. Leaving your make up on will only suffocate your skin.
6. Scrub It Away
No matter how clean we think our skin is – there will always be a bit of dirt somewhere. In order to make sure you steer away from too much dirt clumping up, scrub your face two to three times a week. If you’ve never used scrub before, try to find a mild scrub so your skin doesn’t get too damaged the first round. Scrubbing will also help relief your skin from black-heads.
7. Mask It Up
We know that putting on a mask may seem like a chore as well, but every girl needs to pamper herself once in a while, no matter how busy you are. Try getting a mask that helps hydrate and repair your skin. There are different types of masks to try – peel off masks, clay/mud mask, and many more. Find a mask that suits you and your time best. We suggest that you put on a mask at least once a week – in order to get the glowing skin you deserve.
8. SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP!
The fact is, you’re never going to achieve healthy and clear skin if you’re sleeping two to three hours a day. We know that in this era, it’s a little hard to get a good eight hour sleep on a daily basis. So try to get at least six hours everyday. Sleep is essential because that is the time when your skin repairs and rejuvenates. So girls, Facebook updates can wait – get some sleep first!
