We all quarrel with our boyfriends but who would have ever thought that a quarrel could have left anyone with their body being 90% burnt?
The Star today reported that 22 year old Chan Yee Mun was always fighting with her 33 year old boyfriend but this around the fight was bad and the neighbours were awakened by a loud noise coming from the pair’s flat.
A taxi driver immediately called the Fire and Rescue Department and she was rushed to the University Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital. The News Straits Times reported that the couch was in flames while her boyfriend only had minor injuries.
Currently she is in a critical condition and her boyfriend is being questioned over the incident which is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code as attempted murder.
