We put the spotlight on designers Endy Lau and Herane Zera and found out their inspirations and the designers that they look up to!
We also got the the chance to catch up with Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia, Soren Ravn! He told us what he thought about the fashion here in Malaysia… Let’s see what they all had to say!

Q: What makes Paris a fashion capital?
“Well, Paris…It makes everything so unique”
Q: What inspired you for your collection?
“They asked me to look through French art. From that, i thought about how French people were more romantic and with beer, i saw the image of passion – so i combined it all”
Q: Who are your favorite designers?
“Karl Largafeld and Jimmy Choo – they are all so successful.”
Q: What made you decide to create your own line?
“I never liked the designs out there – i liked my own designs, so i thought of just doing my own thing.”

Q: What makes Paris a fashion capital?
“Paris has it’s own signature of elegance. It has that romantic passion and sensuality, which gives it that signature”
Q: What inspired you for your collection?
“The first collection – which is from my own collection, it is based on a indian ethnicity – like, the Maharaja era. The second design was inspired by liquid dreams – to portray a tall confident woman.”
Q: Who are your favorite designers?
“Versace, Ellie Saab and ofcourse, Alexander McQueen”
Q: What made you decide to create your own line?
“It has always been my passion – so i decided to bring it all to the next level. I’m doing it… but step by step.”

Q: Are you someone who is interested in fashion?
“Yes I am – and i have gotten even more interested because Kronenburg is now collaborating with these designers and other fashion icons such as Amber Chia and Jimmy Choo – you know, you get sucked into it.
Q: What do you thinking of the fashion scene here in Malaysia?
“It’s certainly there but you have to look for it. It’s not like in Tokyo or Hong Kong and these other big cities in Asia – you go out on the street and you immediately see inspiration. In Malaysia, you need to know where to go – a lot of things are hidden behind closed doors.”
Q: Do you think Malaysia’s fashion has potential to grow in the future?
“Definitely – there is a lot of commitment from the designers and the industry to help it grown on the meter”
