She is an actress, singer, presenter and a radio host. She is not spared from the duties of a normal woman as she is a mother to three charming kids. To be specific, she is a single mother and the amount of roles which Raja Azura Tengku Ahmad Tajuddin plays in her life is amazing.

Lipstiq was fortunate enough to have a one-on-one session with her last week and we managed to get some parenting tips from her. Some people may say religion doesn’t play an important part in parenting, but Raja Azura believes that it is the best gift which you can nourish your kids with.

Q: Dear Raja Azura, please describe your motherhood journey to us.

“Being a single mother and juggling my work life is hard but I have no regrets. It is a fun filled journey and it can be quite challenging at times but I love being a mother.”

Q: How do you handle stress at work and at home?

“To be honest, people say working can be stressful. But to me, the key is to have fun. If you enjoy your job, stress would just be a minor thing. I need to entertain my audiences. At home, I make it a point to hide my feelings from my kids. The only stress which I have when I get home is the “manja stress” which I show my kids.”

Q: How do you deal with matters pertaining to your divorce?

“My kids do not know I am divorced but I will reveal it to them when the time comes. I have always taught them to love their father and to show him equal respect as how they behave with me. The fact is that he is still their father and our personal problems should not interfere with their relationship with either parent.”

Q: What is your message to all parents out there when it comes to bringing up their kids in this modern era?

“My advise is to bring them up with religion. I am not a saint but with religion, their roots are firmly formed and no matter what they go through in life, they would know how to turn to God and their instincts will guide them the correct way. You can say I am old fashioned, but I also believe that creating that bond between each sibling is important and I would never let my girl out of the house without the guidance of her brother. Create the proper culture at home when they are young and see how much of difference it can make when they’re older.”
