Anything cute, you name it and we girls just love it. Isn’t that right? To be more specific, most of us love cute animals!
Check this out!
Most of the time we can only have the opportunity to look at them from a distance, or to carry them during photo taking sessions. If you would love to know more about giant pandas and if you would like to visit the area and have a chance to feed them, then the one place which you should be visiting would be the Bi Feng Xia Giant Panda Centre in Chengdu.
Soon after the earthquake in 2008, most of the giant pandas were transferred to this reserve centre. How much do we know actually about pandas?
They are herbivores who love to chew on bamboo all day long. That was what I thought. But guess what, they love to eat cakes as well! Panda cakes are made from bread crumbs, banana and etc and it is served to them 4 times a day according to their weight and size. This panda was extremely happy and decided to dance when she knew that she was about to get her panda cake!
Food is served 4 times a day to the pandas and they are actually left to roam about in the wild all day long. They only do enter these cages when they know it is feeding time. Pandas need to be fed often as they have short intestines and very little nutrients from their diet can be actually absorbed by their body. This is also one of the reason as to why their waste looks like chewed bamboo.
Wondering how can you enrol for this program? Simple. Just log on to http://www.pandasinternational.org/reserves/bifengxia.html and you can also become a volunteer. You would need to pay a reasonable amount of cash to become a volunteer but do not dread as nothing can buy knowledge right?
