Let us give you the 101 on glycolic peel ladies! Basically it is a moderate glycolic acid peel of varying percentages. It can vary from 15% – 70% depending on the skin indication. It can be used for rejuvenation, scars, pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and even stimulates collagen production.
It is suitable for all skin types and the downtime depending on the percentage used can vary from 3 – 7 days. As long as you protect your skin with an adequate sunblock ( SPF 50 and above) after the treatment, you will be fine.
The procedure is quite simple. The skin is cleansed and the peel is applied to the whole face. It is after 2-3 minutes using a neutralizer solution. The face is cleansed again and sunblock is applied.
