As a bespectacled hijabi, I typically have a harder time styling my hijabs. I can’t pin my scarves in certain ways or style them however I wish because the glasses get in the way, or ruin the entire look. Plus, the design of my glasses dictate how my hijabs would frame my face, and I don’t want that kind of stress in my life. If you’re also struggling with styling your hijabs while wearing glasses, it’s a good thing we gotchu, hijabaes!
After searching high and low in HijabiTok, I’ve compiled 6 easy – yet chic – hijab styles to model while rocking your spectacles.

TikTok beauty creator and hijabi fashionista, Sofea, always comes through for her hijababes – and this time is no exception. She recently dropped a TikTok video for glasses wearers that is effortless and stylish! Only minimal pins, a few flips here and there, and tying the two ends at the back – and voila! All you need is your glasses and you’re ready to go out the door.

Of course, Sofea could never overlook hijababes who also prefer to cover their chests. Her second tutorial video is similar to her previous one, but the difference is that one end of the scarf is gathered loosely at the front to cover your chest area, while the other is wrapped all the way until it comes back to the front. With a few pins on either shoulder to hold the material in place, you’re basically done. Pop on your glasses and you’ll look completely chic and ready for the day.

Another effortless hijab style for glasses wearers. This might SEEM complicated to begin with, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be sporting this look with your glasses wherever you go. With one end shorter than the other, begin pinning your shawl at the back of your head and placing the shorter end inside your shirt. Afterwards, wrap the longer end around your head and adjust to frame your face. Finish it off with a pin to secure it and wear your glasses. A clean and simple look for everyday wear.

We get it – simplicity is key for us lazy hijabis (I would know firsthand). So, grab two of your favourite pins and a shawl and begin by pinning one behind your ear. Flip both ends on either of your shoulders and grab another pin to secure your hijab. For the pièce de résistance – your glasses – and you’re ready to slay-zy for the day.

If framing your hijab loosely around your face isn’t your thing, I gotchu. This hijab tutorial makes it look like you pin your hijab under your jaw – yet it doesn’t make your face look super weird. With one end shorter than the other, pin both sides behind your ear and gather the longer end to pin on the side of your head. Afterwards, wrap the longer side all around your head and secure it with a pin on both sides of your shoulders.

Lastly, the easiest tutorial, and my personal favourite – the selempang. Place your hijab as you normally would and grab just a couple of inches inside your hijab and pin both sides together under your jaw. Flip both ends on either sides of your shoulders and you’re done! Super easy and effortless – and it all takes less than one minute!
