COACH recently unveiled its Fall 2022 collection with a live runway show in New York City – specifically, “Somewhere in America” – an imagined COACH neighbourhood. Showcasing the house’s heritage colour palette, the show was set against a soundtrack of 1970s romance, remixed with 90s grunge, at Basketball City in New York’s Lower East Side.

The runway pieces represented the next chapter in Stuart Vever’s vision of American heritage, reenergized with the optimism and attitude of the next generation, where sweetness meets toughness.

The collection introduced iconic COACH pieces such as shearling and leather outerwear, which were contrasted with romantic lace and crocheted dresses, pops of neon, and leather ready-to-wear inspired by the leather bars of the 1970s. The collection celebrated the house’s continued role in shaping the legacy of American style.

In honour of Bonnie Cashin, COACH’s first head designer, Vevers presented archival outerwear reimagined in shearling, as well as an update of COACH’s 1964 Sling bag. Furthermore, this season’s prints are inspired by Bonnie Cashin’s archives, reimagining her plaid, watercoloured florals, and hounds tooth prints in a whimsically oversized scale.

COACH also debuted pieces created in collaboration with graffiti artists Mint + Serf, which were printed with the duo’s raw, expressive artworks. The partnership was showcased on outerwear, ready-to-wear, and bags.

Accessories

COACH’s Fall 2022 collection features a new line of chic bags that complement its rich array of ready-to-wear garments.

Luna Shoulder Bag

COACH’s take on a ’90s icon feels as current today as it did then. The Luna shoulder bag gets its name from its curved silhouette, which resembles a crescent moon. The Luna shoulder bag is compact and lightweight, and it holds everything you need for a good time (and comes with an adjustable strap for that all-important, super-snug look).

Gold Rivets Detailing

COACH’s Studio Shoulder bag and Rogue silhouettes feature gold rivet detailing, which contrast beautifully with the vibrant blue and brown hues.

Shearling

COACH’s classic pillow tabby silhouette features super soft, short hair shearling – from the strap, to the body. The shearling was specially tanned for a soft touch, and ironed for a fluffy finish.
