Today marks an important day in the history of this beloved local brand. Founded in 1997, Secret Recipe has grown over the years to become a household name, with more than 440 outlets in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Maldives and Bangladesh. It’s also become Malaysia’s leading and largest homegrown lifestyle café chain – so it’s no wonder that Secret Recipe celebrated its 25th anniversary today with great pomp at its outlet in CITTA Mall, one of Petaling Jaya’s bustling hubs for food and entertainment!
Present to officiate the momentous occasion were Patrick Sim, Business Development Director; Evelyn Lee, Head of Marketing; Rodzi Ahmad, Head of Operation; as well as the brand’s newly appointed ambassador, Malaysian sweetheart Mira Filzah.
The New Ambassador
A household name herself, Mira is thrilled to be joining the Secret Recipe family as its newest ambassador. With over 7.3 million followers on her social media platforms, the well-loved actress, host, model, and entrepreneur is looking forward to celebrating and creating more memorable moments together with the brand.
Mira and Secret Recipe go a long way. From celebratory cakes to sharing a meal at the café with her family and friends, Mira has lots of lovely memories growing up with the brand. With that, Secret Recipe is super excited to welcome Mira to its family.

Just as Mira and the nation’s birthdays and celebrations were made special by Secret Recipe throughout the years, today’s joyous event was commemorated with a cake-cutting ceremony featuring the brand’s famous “Red Velvet Cake.”
