In conjunction with Merdeka, Fahrenheit88 has launched ‘Warisan Merdeka’ – a celebration inspired by the one and only Malaysian singer and songwriter, the late Dato’ Sudirman bin Haji Arshad.
In partnership with Arkib Negara Malaysia, Fahrenheit88 proudly presents ‘Warisan Sudir: Tribute to Asia’s No.1 Entertainer’, located at the Sudirman Gallery on Level 2. From now right up to the 30th of September 2022, shoppers and fans of Dato’ Sudirman will enjoy the golden opportunity to browse through genuine Sudirman memorabilia. From his music album poster comics, to every single one of his performance costumes, as well as other personal artifacts – you guys have the rare opportunity to walk in and have your very own mini-tour of the gallery.
‘Warisan Merdeka’ was officially launched last Thursday by the Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Pemangku Raja Pahang, Tengku Mahkota Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who was accompanied by Dato’ Joyce Yap, Chief Executive Officer of Retail, Fahrenheit88,
as well as representatives from Arkib Negara Malaysia.
While delivering a speech at the launch, Dato’ Joyce Yap said:
“It is important to share Malaysia’s multi-ethnic culture to promote the message of peace and unity. This year, we found inspiration in legendary Malaysian hero – Sudirman – and we are proud and excited to share his legacy with all Malaysians”.

‘Warisan Merdeka’ is the second campaign presented by Fahrenheit88, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, as well as Arkib Negara Malaysia. Previously, in April this year ‘Raya Melodies’, was also launched to celebrate Hari Raya – a fete which was inspired by the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee, as well as late Puan Sri Saloma.
