KLFW is already on its last day, and we’re all gonna suffer fashion withdrawal when it ends. But before it does, why don’t we savour the here and now, and have a look back at last night’s event (KLFW Day 4). The first half of the day saw an incredible line-up of amazing local designers and their fantastic ready-to-wear collections from the ever-so-talented designer, Villiam Ooi, to the fabulous Hatta Dolmat.

Renowned labels such as Jimmy Lim, Cassey Gan, Laguna Sydney and Alia Bastamam also proudly sashayed down the runway and left us gagged.

Tranz by Poh Kong X Jimmy Lim

The day began with a beautiful collaboration between the amazing Jimmy Lim and the internationally-renowned jewellery brand, Poh Kong. The showcase featured a series of exquisite gold jewellery by Tranz itself – a collection that highly encourages self-expression.

Jimmy Lim

Next up was Jimmy Lim with a collection titled, “Alpha Cortex”. The collection was amazing, with each piece giving off a modern and edgy post-apocalyptic vibe.

Cassey Gan

Next, we were presented with Cassey Gan’s eccentric collection, consisting of her amazing take on the ordinary denim. Titled “Glass Half Full”, the collection represented the designer’s take on life, where sometimes, it isn’t meant to be taken seriously. Thus, all the pieces are fun, flirtatious and quirky.

Laguna Sydney

Laguna Sydney’s collection transported us to a resort, with its abundance of magnificent colours bursting on the runway. Flowing and long silhouettes ruled, as did juxtaposed patterns and colours that brought to mind lounging by a private beach.

Alia Bastamam

The day’s final show was by none other than the spectacular Alia Bastamam. Many were anticipating her revealing her very own collection, so it’s no surprise that designer gave us not one collection, but two!

The former – “Be” by Alia Bastamam – was a series of designs that portrays confidence, independence and being happy in your own skin. The latter – “Oasis” by Alia Bastamam – consisted of luxurious and silky resort wear.
