It’s almost the fall fashion season! It’s time to incorporate some warm colours into your wardrobe and complete your autumnal look with a staple handbag. Kate Spade New York is inspired by the little things this fall, such as intimate gatherings, the comforts of home, the interior beauty we surround ourselves with – and the pleasures of sharing that beauty with others.
A rose-covered wallpaper, a warm plaid, and the crisp pleat of a lampshade are just a few of the elements that their newest collection embraces. Without further ado, make yourselves at home, and take a look at Kate Spade New York’s Fall 2022 collection!
Welcome to the open house.
This season, their accessories were inspired by their beloved city and the comforts – and beauty – of the home. There are textured accents like calf hair, velvet, and needlepoint embroidery. They’ve given their iconic Kate Spade New York logo plaque a modern update for the entire collection. The new plaque pays homage to their history in a contemporary enamel by drawing inspiration from their original logo from the early 1990s.
The Sam Icon was the original “It” bag in the 1990s. The classic design is now available in various shapes and sizes, such as a small tote, mini hobo bag, and medium shoulder bag that have been updated in a variety of vibrant leathers and a nylon with floral embellishments for fall. The Sam Little Better Nylon is back in both dark merlot and black.
The Evelyn medium convertible shoulder bag, another new design, adds sophistication to the traditional handbag shape with quilted leather, contrast piping, and a brushed gold chain. Evelyn is also available in a brand-new rose garden design embroidered with hand-cut silk and velvet threads.
With its soft, feminine curves and traditional sportiness, Racing Stripe pays homage to vintage luggage by fusing buttery leather and woven jacquard.
Dottie gives this collection an abstract, contemporary edge. A small tote, small bucket bag, and medium tote are all constructed from a variety of multicoloured nappa leather dots.
Additionally, popular core styles have been updated. A bold whipstitch in supple nappa leather is added to the Knott group, and the Manhattan tote is updated with a chunky handwoven plaid and the new plaque logo.
Their Spade Flower Jacquard features an oversized scale of the distinctive brand code in addition to a new colourway, neutral multi.
Novelty gives 3D and texture new meaning. Lucy the Leopard combines emerald green with the sartorial staple leopard print. The pleated leather Patisserie 3D croissant clutch, which can be found in ready-to-wear, jewellery, and fashion accessories categories, creates a fun elevated take on the flaky French treat. With Storyteller, our partnership with Out of Print raises the bar on novelty. Literary classics like Secret Garden and Black Beauty serve as the inspiration for canvas book totes and Italian leather 3D book crossbodies, bringing a cherished novelty style into the present.
Ready-To-Wear
The fall ready-to-wear collection from Kate Spade New York highlights timeless silhouettes in season-specific materials like silk, tweed, cashmere, leather, and faux fur to capture the changing of the leaves. These textiles mimic the opulent interiors of the house, including the lacquered furniture, velvet draperies, and bold, textured wallpaper.
Jewellery
Fall 2022 jewellery captures classic Kate Spade New York elements with modern twists. Fierce, which features numerous statement earrings, pendants, and rings, is inspired by the Lucy the Leopard novelty and features pavé stones in an art deco style. French Twist, which features pastry twists in classic silhouettes, is a subdued, feminine interpretation of patisserie novelty. Additionally, Heritage Spade Flower is back with new items that incorporate leopard print, multi-dot, and plaid as themes that cut across categories.
