Two months after her divorce and it looks like there’s no stopping Katy Perry. While her blue bob cut is refreshingly quirky, Katy’s image took a 360 in her spread in the March 2012’s issue of Interview Magazine.
Although set in a background of 1920 burlesque show, photographer Mikael Jansson has successfully produced shots that are classy and tasteful while highlighting Katy’s curves and bold eyes to a T to the point of making her look unrecognisable.
Her interview with Interview magazine was conducted by “Saturday Night Live” star Kristen Wiig. Whilst there is no mention of ex husband Russell Brand in the interview, you can however find out her music direction from here on and her thoughts on privacy.
ON PRIVACY
“I don’t really ever tolerate it – especially when it comes to my personal life or my family,” she said. “When I’m working, I’m all yours. But when I’m not working, stay the f**k away. So whoever made up the idea that everyone has the right to every bit of information about you because you’re famous . . . No one made that rule. It’s not a law, and if you think it is, then you don’t really understand how the world works.”
ON HER MUSIC
“Yeah, well, my music is about to get real f**king dark. Well, if you keep on doing the same role, you’ll be typecast. I just feel like I’m going to be criticized regardless of what I do next, so I might as well do something that I feel really passionate about. I don’t even know if I could ever re-create that last record—just like you probably don’t know if you could ever re-create Bridesmaids.”
ON BEING 80
“I feel like I’ve got so many different options being an 80-year-old woman. I feel like I could be in Florida on a kind of healthy trip where I’m just riding my bike and chillin’ at the beach, with an assisted-living condo bit and a meal delivery service—which is sort of how I’m living now. [Wiig laughs] But I also kind of hope that I turn out to be like my grandma, who is 91 and so rad. She’s beyond rad. She’s all there, remembers everything, lives on her own. But what I love about her is that she just doesn’t care. She doesn’t give a flyin’ flip about anything, and she has the funniest reactions and retorts.”
