How do you like Avril? Punk or sexy vixen? Either way, we’re not complaining but we feel that we associate with her best when she’s in an oversized tee and track pants with plain ol’ black eyeliner. In her latest music video “Goodbye” off her album Goodbye Lullaby she strips down to her underwear showing the world a side of her that we’ve never seen before.
The 27-year-old singer says she filmed this special video, shot by Mark Riddell, to mark the end of her year-long Little Black Stars Tour.
In the video, Avril says: “So tonight is the last show of the Black Star tour and after tonight’s show it’ll be a complete wrap on the tour. I’ve been out on the road for a year and it’s been awesome. So thank you for taking the time to listen to it, to buy my songs, to buy my albums and to buy tickets to the show.
“So I decided to shoot a little video for my song Goodbye with my friend Mark Liddell at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. I wanted to give something to you guys to say thank you while I’m here completing the show of the tour.
“So goodbye little black stars!
Why, the video is indeed a treat for fans of Avril who will get to see her in a tight black corset or black bra throughout the video. We can’t help but be in awe of her looks, not only does she look like she hasn’t aged a day since she made it big with her first ever it, “Complicated” back in 2002. The “Goodbye” video was shot by Mark Liddell at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood with Avril checking into her suite and spends her time waiting for a lover who never turns up.

Upon arrival at her suite, Avril starts peeling off her garments one by one.
She then hops into the shower with a bottle of champagne in one hand and a razor in the other, boy can this woman can multi task.
While waiting for her lover to arrive, she takes camwhoring to a whole new level with what looks like a medium format Hasselblad. The music video drifts in an out between color and old school film format.
We also see her stomping around a lot looking pretty awkward in those sky high stilletos and garters.
For more you’ll have to watch the video below but part of the song’s lyrics go “Goodbye brown eyes/Goodbye for now/Goodbye sunshine/Take care of yourself” which we’re guessing are in reference to her ex-husband Deryck Whibley, who actually helped produce six songs on the record even though they divorced in 2010.
Apart from her tour Little Black Stars tour, Avril has also been busy with her Abbey Dawn clothing line which is made up of hoodies, dresses, jeans, shoes, accessories and more inspired by her own punk rock style.
