Balmain‘s collaboration with H&M was the stuff of fashion dreams. And now, it’s time for beauty lovers to join in on the high end-meets high street collaboration between the revered House of Balmain and everyone’s favourite drugstore makeup brand, L’Oreal Paris.
The collection of 12 traditional bullet lipsticks in a range of bold shades taps into the trend and love for all things matte and is split into three ‘tribes’ of four lipsticks. The Couture Tribe is probably the most wearable one for all with shades like Domination (ruby red), Confidence (rose gold), Liberation (deep coral) and Domination (dark purple).

The Rock Tribe comprises Power (dark brown), Rebellion (electric blue), Freedom (deep violet) and Legend (grey), ticking off four of this year’s major lip trends.

The Glamazone Tribe features shades you’d most commonly associate with the brand’s runway collections. Fever is a brick-orange, Urban Safari is a warm beige, Glamazone is a greyish-brown and Balmain Instinct is a military/khaki green shade.

We also love that they’re letting us see the products in full, rather than teasing us with 5 second glimpses! L’Oreal and Olivier Rousteing (C.D. at Balmain) have been sharing plenty of BTS over the last few months. But this week, they revealed every shade that will be available, and we’re hyperventilating because we can’t wait to get our hands on them.
The Balmain x L’Oreal collab is the brainchild of Rousteing and like his catwalk shows, the 31-year-old has cast a diverse range of models for the campaign, including Dominican beauty Ysaunny Brito and model Soo Joo Park.
The collection launches in September and so far, there’s no word on the prices OR if it’ll be available in Malaysia. But we reckon that these lippies are going to be way more affordable than a Balmain clothing piece.
