There’s finally some wonderful news in celebrity love land!
33-year-old Miranda Kerr has just announced her engagement to social media prince charming – 26-year-old Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel. It clearly pays to be the better half of the CEO of a social media app as Kerr’s photo, which shows a black and white photo of her ring, had its own Bitmoji of Spiegel down on one knee.
Though it’s sweet, we sure do hope there was more to that proposal than a Bitmoji photo. Snapchat purchased Bitmoji’s umbrella company Bitstrips earlier this spring, and Kerr’s engagement was a genius way to market its latest technology.
This will be the first marriage for Spiegel, the 26-year-old entrepreneur who founded Snapchat while he was a Stanford student. Kerr was previously married to Orlando Bloom in 2010, and the couple split in 2013. They have one son, Flynn, aged five. Spiegel and Kerr met at a Louis Vuitton dinner in 2014.
