Barbie finally recognises dissimilarities beyond the original stick-thin frame and now, the dolls look a little more like the rest of us!
Mattel, the maker of the iconic doll, has announced three new body types for Barbie – tall, curvy and petite, as well as seven different skin tones and 18 eye colours, plus a few hairstyles, along with clothes and accessories for each.

For the past two years, Mattel has put Barbie through a transformation with realistic body standards, and this is mainly done to reflect the diversity of children playing with the dolls. This will also reflect a broader view of beauty.
Can you believe it? The curvy Barbie has meaty thighs, hips and calves. We totes appreciate that and it’s been a long time coming! Some of these dolls even have freckles.
