With the Korean most prestigious Golden Disk Awards taken place in Malaysia early January, we already know K-pop is here to stay for a very long time and Malaysians K-pop fans are more than welcome for that. As compared to previous years, 2013 has proven to be a year for Malaysian K-pop fans as several event companies have hinted that many more K-pop events will be happening in Malaysia soon.
We previously reported that several K-pop events including TVXQ Catch Me Tour in Malaysia, F.Y.I On Stage with Lunafly and the latest Twin Towers @live 2013 will be happening in Malaysia. But now, we have a great news for K-pop fans! The event company Marctensia Concerts has announced that the nine-members Korean girl group,Girls’ Generation will be performing at the 2013 Asia Super Showcase!
Jointly organized by Marctensia Concerts and Universal Music Malaysia, the showcase is one of the most successful showcases ever done in Malaysia as 2012 Asia Super Showcase was previously held at the Kenange Wholesale City Mall in Malaysia on last year December. Marctensia Concerts have invited 3 K-pop boy groups; Btob, EXO-M and Super Juinor-M for the showcase and since then, fans have requested for more concerts from the organizer.
In early January, Marctensia Concerts announced that they are going to have the next Asia Super Showcase at new venue with a line-up of 3 new artists lineup. The organizer also posted a poll asking the fans to vote for their favourite artists they wanted to come to Malaysia. It was then K-pop fans’ expectations got higher when they hinted them with a teaser video for the next Asia Super Showcase featuring Girls’ Generation’s song “Genie, Tell Me Your Wish” on their Facebook page.
Few days later, the organizer announced the details of the showcase and the details of the showcase are as follow:

Time: 8:00pm
Venue: Stadium Merdeka
Rumour has it that SHINee, AOA and Girls’ Generations will be coming for the showcase but it was only 3 days ago when Marctensia Concerts confirmed that Girls’ Generation will be performing in Malaysia for 2013 Asia Super Showcase. The showcase also marks the second visit for the girls as they have previously performed at Twin Towers @live 2012 concert at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur back in March 2012.

UPDATED 15/3: Marctensia Concerts has just confirmed that Ace of Angels (aka AOA), a South Korean idol girl group and band, produced by FNC Entertainment will be performing for 2013 Asia Super Showcase as well! The last K-pop group will be announced soon. But, who do you think will be joining the line-up? Like what the rumour said, is it going to be SHINee?

UPDATED 16/4: Girl’s Generation and AOA has confirmed their attendance for the 2013 sia Super Showcase.
The “2013 Asia Super Showcase in Malaysia” will be happening on May 12th, 2013 at Stadium Merdeka, KL at 8pm. Tickets are priced at RM223, RM323 (Free Seating), RM353, RM453 (Free Standing) and VIP (Numbered Seating).
