Our primary goal when fasting during Ramadan is to exercise self-control and show our love for God. After a whole day without meals, it’s reasonable to think that when iftar arrives, we seek out the best cuisine and savour every morsel that passes our lips.
Malaysian cuisine – notably in Ramadan buffets – exemplifies the country’s customs, flavours and colours. This year, SOULed OUT Kuala Lumpur and WIP On The Park are serving Ramadan buffet deals in airy, expansive spaces with an Arabian flair, ideal for friends and family to reunite and rebuild relationships after years of keeping events small and quiet owing to lockdowns.
With traditional family favourites, refreshing beverages after a day of fasting, and scrumptious brightly-hued kuih to finish the iftar, these gatherings are celebrations of variety and love.
Every night throughout Ramadan, the Ramadan buffet menu, which includes trademark local dishes, will be modified to reflect the range of flavours available in Malaysian cuisine. The Ramadan buffet is RM60++ for adults and RM40++ for children at SOULed OUT Kuala Lumpur (Hartamas) from Sunday to Friday.
Slow-Baked Tomahawk steak with baked pumpkin, Greek salad, naan with curry leaves, tomato salsa, and black pepper sauce (RM280++) and Roasted Spring Chicken with baked potato, sweet corn, naan with curry leaves, percik, and thyme sauces (RM35++) are among the Ramadhan specials at SOULed OUT Kuala Lumpur (Hartamas).
Of course, we wouldn’t leave out our Malaysian friends on the other side of the country. SOULed OUT Kota Kinabalu will be serving a mouth-watering Nasi Talam Platter at RM70 for groups of two or three guests, with choices of Ayam Berempah, Beef Rendang, or Wokked Ginger Beef served with hinava, fried sardines, ulam of seasonal vegetables, salted egg, tapioca leaves in spiced coconut milk, baked eggplant omelette, vegetable consume, bambangan pickles, prawn crackers, sambal belacan and white rice.
Meanwhile, WIP On The Park offers a promotion of RM98++ for adults and RM68++ for children on weekdays for their exquisite Ramadan buffet. WIP On The Park is also providing a free sixth buffet for every five additional buffet diners in a party for the duration of the campaign.
In addition, WIP at Bangsar Shopping Centre is serving Iftar Roast Lamb, an Asian-inspired roasted boneless lamb leg with sautéed vegetables, mashed potato, and spicy soy sambal sauce @ RM40++, as well as their own version of Spring Chicken marinated in spices, poached, and roasted with percik sauce and condiments priced at RM28++.
WIP Bangsar Shopping Centre and SOULed OUT Kota Kinabalu both provide ala carte Ramadan specials for dine-in or takeout. SOULed OUT Kuala Lumpur (Hartamas) now offers a delivery service for people who want to experience their delectable food.
NOTE: Seating is restricted due to high demand, so customers are urged to make reservations at SOULed OUT Kuala Lumpur (Hartamas) and Kota Kinabalu and WIP On The Park. Diners may also phone WIP Bangsar Shopping Centre to arrange a reservation for iftar.
