Bell & Ross is a specialist in aviation and the military – yet the brand often travels beyond air bases. Since 1997, when the watchmaker debuted its first diving watch, they have been on the hunt for excellence, innovation, and new challenges. Now, the Maison on Rue Copernic has a true understanding of the aquatic world.
The brand has set out to discover icy waters and icebergs with its newest BR 03-92 Diver White. This exquisite white timepiece is water-resistant and invites you to dive beneath frozen water.
This year, the BR 03-92 Diver White joins the athletic collection. This new model has a steel case and a white dial.
Snow White Dial
Icy seas, arctic oceans, and frozen lakes captivate divers, and some daring explorers set out to explore these strange, cold expanses. Bell & Ross has designed the BR 03-92 Diver White for the brave few. This new watch is part of Maison’s successful diving watch family, the Diver.
The frozen watery realms inspired the 03-92 Diver White. It has a white dial, which is a rare Bell & Ross colour. This flawless colorway conjures up images of ice floes, the cold, and purity.
“Our dials are normally rather dark,” says Bruno Belamich, Bell & Ross’ Creative Director and co-founder.
The dial’s matte surface has been metallised, producing iridescent reflections throughout the piece. The specific colour is an opalescent silver in subtle tones.
“The watch’s polished finish lends it a noble air. It demonstrates our top-of-the-line quality and finesse,” Mr. Belamich proudly claims.
Swiss Standards
The BR 03-92 Diver White is the cooperative effort between watchmakers and divers. These experts banded together to suit the needs of professional divers who explore beneath ice fields. Time becomes a critical dimension in this frigid underwater world that is as hazardous as it is fascinating. As a result, the mechanical diving watch is also a safety device.
It takes over from today’s electronic tools, which do not withstand the cold well. The self-winding BR-CAL 302 calibre of the BR 03-92 Diver White, on the other hand, can tolerate extremely low temperatures. The BR 03-92 Diver White is also water-resistant and rugged, and it complies with the ISO 6425 standard to meet the demanding requirements of a Swiss dive watch.
The essential assets:
- The case is waterproof up to 300 metres.
- With a luminous dot at 12 o’clock, the unidirectional rotating bezel is graduated over 60 minutes. Decompression stops are calculated using this notched piece.
- The use of a crown shield prevents the crown from being accidentally manipulated. The photoluminescent Super-LumiNova® coating on the metal hands and indexes emits a vivid green colour in the dark. Deep underwater, where you might not typically be able to see your hand in front of your face, readability remains optimal.
Iconic Style
The BR 03-92 Diver White is the latest addition to the Diver family, and this exquisite white variant completes the collection. It inherits the rounded square case from the legendary BR 01 but in a waterproof underwater variation. This design element is a watchmaker’s take on an airplane’s dashboard.
Underwater, the square-shaped case is unique, as most diving watches are designed in round shapes. The BR 03-92 Diver White has a distinct personality because of its unique design. The waterproof case of the BR 03-92 Diver White has been reinforced to endure the aquatic environment. The BR-CAL 302 self-winding calibre, which regulates the hour, minute, and seconds functions, as well as the date, is installed inside.
The BR 03-92 Diver White crown includes a rubber insert for enhanced sealing and is fastened down to withstand the pressure of deep waters. This dive watch has a thick anti-reflective sapphire crystal and is strengthened on the back. The watch is equipped with a black rubber band that is water-resistant.
The timepiece is packaged in the Pelican Box, which is known for being sturdy and waterproof from the brand.
