On March 18, UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON will debut their Spring/Summer 2022 collection, which is the result of a long-term partnership between the Japanese clothing company and the London-based label.
This season’s theme – At Home with the Sea – is inspired by Britain’s rich sailing and coastal culture. The collection mixes JW ANDERSON’s whimsical workmanship with LifeWear’s evolving simplicity and quality.
“The sea has been essential to my upbringing since I was a child,” designer Jonathan Anderson said. It was the inspiration for the collection, he said, adding that he hopes people will love having this nautical style in their wardrobes.
Embroidered sailboats appear on shirts, caps and socks, as well as a knot dress and yacht parkas, all of which look great against the blue backdrops of the sea and sky. Water repellency, mesh materials, and other functional UNIQLO features are combined with JW ANDERSON’s distinctive characteristics, like patchwork and asymmetry to give comfort and design.
For a relaxed beach design, colour blocking and borders offer a hint of contrast and showcase hues from nature, such as oceanic blues, beige from the coasts, and vibrant reds and greens.
The lineup for this collection consists of 12 items – each for both the women’s and men’s lines – with 6 accessories available as well. The price listing is provided below:
