Ryan Seacrest is now wishing that Sasha Baron Cohen was banned from the Oscars 2012.
Sticking true to his controversial nature, Sasha Baron Cohen rocked up the red carpet as General Aladeen, his role in his upcoming movie The Dictator and proceeded to pour ashes, supposedly to be that of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il , all over Seacrest halfway through his interview. Mind you , Seacrest was in a Burberry tuxedo!
If Seacrest was unhappy about it, he managed to remain calm and diplomatic throughout the whole fiasco. Cohen was then escorted away by security personnel and quipped “Now you can tell people you are wearing Kim Jong Il!”. The video below shows Seacrest being mollified by his co-host, Guiliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne after the incident.
Cohen’s antic was the highlight of the night and star such as Tina Fey even stopped to pose with the “ashes” on the red carpet.
The “ashes” turned out to be pancake mix and was dealt with by the people in charge, much to the amusement of How I Met Your Mother star , Jason Segel. As they say, a picture paints a thousand words!
