Crocs has become a footwear staple in the fashion world, despite it being deemed by many as “ridiculous”. People have embraced the footwear not only for its comfort, but the peculiar designs that have come from the brand.
These last few years have seen some “interesting” looking crocs – so let’s scroll through some of the most absurd looking pairs of Crocs to have ever hit the pavement.
Balenciaga Platform Crocs
In 2017, Crocs collaborated with one of the biggest international fashion brand in the world – Balenciaga. The Crocs were worn on the Balenciaga runway in Paris, and they had some mixed reactions. While some found them extremely comical looking, others thought they were an innovative take on Crocs.
Crocs X Balenciaga Boots
Kanye West and Balenciaga have been a match made in heaven for the designer duo. After styling Kanye for his Donda tour, Balenciaga fitted the rapper with these rainboot-looking Crocs – and some couldn’t grasp the design. However, it’s Kanye we’re talking about here, and we have all seen some of his peculiar choices of outfits these past few years – so, are we really that surprised?
Balenciaga’s Croc Madame
Balenciaga is back again, blowing everyone’s socks off with this monstrosity of a creation. Crocs with heels, the most absurd looking footwear – and yet the most comfortable as well. Bretman Rock – who is known for his collection of Crocs – photographed himself spotting his new heeled Crocs, and it’s safe to say that we’re not exactly mad at it.
Crocs X Salehe Bembury
We’d say this is the most acceptable looking Crocs of all Crocs, because look how cool it looks! The footwear seems like it came out of a futuristic movie and we love that. Salehe Bembury debuted its collaboration with Crocs by upgrading its classic cog with intricate and textured designs. It’s like Yeezy, but a more elevated Yeezy (sorry Kanye!)
