In the world of voice acting/seiyuu (声優), particularly in Japan, it’s very common for voice actors to have a singing career as well. Some voice actors have prominent singing careers – like Daisuke Ono, Kishow Taniyama (GRANRODEO) and Showtaro Morikubo to name a few. While going deeper into the rabbit hole, in anime and games, seiyuus of major characters sing their theme songs for the anime and video game – which is commonly known as character/image songs. If the characters sing in-universe i.e. Idolish7, ST☆RISH, μ’s (pronounced Muse), the CDs are frequently released under the names of the characters rather than the seiyuu. This genre of music is called Anisong, and it ranges from J-pop to J-rock.

Azusa Tadokoro is a voice actress who has been active in providing voices in many anime productions. But now, ‘Hakoniwa no Kofuku,’ her debut digital single, has been released. Kosuke Oki wrote the lyrics, and Kanda John wrote the song and arranged it. They’ve already collaborated on her fourth album, ‘Waver.’ For the latest diorama image, in which she wore a stunning red outfit, the universe of the song is depicted in a completely different way than she has done in any of her previous music videos.
