Lipsticks, liquid lipsticks, and lip tints, we all have it and love it. But, let’s be real here girlies, we have loads of lipsticks piling up in our vanity that are approaching their expiry date. It might be because you’re not into that shade anymore or because you don’t like the texture and the feel of the formula on your lips, which is completely understandable.
But, what we really want to avoid is being wasteful here ladies since you know, the Earth needs saving.
As hard as it is to believe, lipsticks, in general, are the most versatile makeup product out of all and can be used in a variety of ways. So, instead of throwing away all those lipsticks, maybe try to salvage them by using them in a different manner.
With that being said, here are FOUR ways that you can use lipsticks besides putting them on your lips!
Colour Corrector
Before the birth of color correctors, there were red lipsticks and you have to admit it was game-changing in the beauty community. Red lipsticks were used to cancel the darkness under your eyes before you apply your concealer. If you have any red lipsticks that you have neglected in that vanity of yours, use it as a color corrector instead!
Eyeshadow
As odd as it sounds, but using liquid lipsticks as an eyeshadow can up your makeup skill to the next level! It might take you a few tries to blend seamlessly onto your eyes, but practice does make perfect results. You don’t even need to buy makeup palettes anymore with how endless of lipsticks you have in your vanity from browns to reds. You can create countless looks with literally just one lipstick.
Eyeliner
Graphic liners have been an ongoing fad for the past couple of years and it has not died down since. If you wish to join in the trend of graphic liners, use your liquid lipsticks instead of buying colored liners. With an angled brush and a liquid lipstick of your preferred shade, you can create the perfect swoop in a matter of minutes.
Blusher
This one is a classic. Throughout the decades, the alternative way to use blush is by applying it with lipstick on your cheeks. With that, came in cream blushers which makes your cheeks look flush all day without having the need to touch up, unlike powdered blush. However, you don’t really need to buy cream blushers to have the same result. Lipsticks will literally do the trick and if you pair your entire makeup look based on one lipstick like the picture above, it’ll make your whole look pulled together beautifully.
By doing these methods, you won’t really need to get rid of those precious lipsticks of yours. These makeup products can be redeemed if you show them some endless love and find alternative ways to use them.
