Honest & Gentle was birthed from the founder’s own personal experience with dry, sensitive and eczematous skin. They were aware of how uncomfortable that can be and made a stepping motion to help others like of their own to feel better in their own skin.
At the same time, they were very much inspired to begin a project where people can help other people and through which they can give more thought to their mental health. After a year of experimentation, honest & gentle officially launched on 1 February 2021.
Honest & Gentle is indeed a natural skincare line that specialises in handcrafted products for sensitive skin, using only organic, cold-pressed carrier oils.
As proponents of sustainability, encompassing both human and environmental sustainability, they strive to inspire others to live more mindfully by providing work opportunities for local women and aiding the funds on healthcare and education in the nation.
The unrefined, organic shea butter they use in all of their products comes from Ghana, Africa, and is produced by local women.
Honest & Gentle’s makes a significant reinvestment of their proceedings by helping the development of their communities, such as healthcare and education. The team strongly binds and holds onto the philosophy to embrace diversity and to welcome people from all walks of life to use their products making them consumer-friendly!
