Brush twice a day
This goes without saying. However, do not limit your brushing to few seconds. It is recommended to brush for at least 2 minutes. Brushing your teeth in circular motion will remove plaque, and if it is not done correctly, it might result in tartar.
Eat “white” food
Foods that contain colourants don’t do much good for your teeth. Instead, consume more white foods in your diet to limit discolouration. Chicken, rice and fish are all good options.
Limit your tea and coffee consumption
Consuming too much tea or coffee can leave your teeth stained. One thing these drinks have in common – it contain tannins. These chemical compounds in the drinks attack the tooth enamel, which means that your teeth can turn yellow.
Chew gum
Chewing gum increases saliva production, which helps in neutralizing acids in your mouth. Additionally, chewing movements removes food particles from your teeth.
Eat raw vegetables
These vegetables are not only healthy but act as great solvent agents for plaque in your teeth! You don’t only fill your tummy but clean your teeth as well!
