We’re stalking the red carpet at the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards this morning! Lo and behold, we’ve got our eyes on a few gorgeous couture outfits that were donned by some of our favourite Hollywood celebrities. Award-winning stars or not, here are some of the prime-time ensembles that deserved our praises:
One of the first stars that caught our attention was also one of the first stars to hit the red carpet. And she’s none other than the 27-year-old Kelly Osbourne. Say what you like but she looked absolutely hot in a white matte crepe Badgley Mischka gown. The look was topped off with Alexander McQueen shoes.
Loving the embroidered shoulder detail and tassel belt, Kelly!
Ashlee Simpson rocked up in a little black dress that wasn’t little at all! And no, you haven’t mistaken her for someone else. Ashlee commented, “I’m just a date tonight” upon her arrival in company of boyfriend Vincent Piazza. She wore a sequined black beaded Jenny Packham dress complete with Loree Rodkin statement rings.
Taking a step backwards and toning it down a little is Zoe Saldana. She showed off her long, lean body in a light, sequined white dress with a drop waist and sweet floral detailing. We hear that the gorgeous gown is a white Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci.
Our favourite “Glee” starlet Lea Michele made a bold statement on the red carpet with pale colours that definitely stood out against the background. Her lavender Versace dress has a body-hugging bodice with a super high slit (thigh-high, to be precise!) that showed off all that skin and a lot of leg. Sexy, injected.
Wow, wow, wow.
Lea Michele’s fellow “Glee” colleague, the beautiful Naya Rivera, also turned up at the SAG Awards wearing nothing short of breathtaking. She strutted the red carpet in an ice-blue embellish gown by Naeem Khan. Definitely the dress that stole the night, it was made even sexier because of a plunging neckline.
Looking a tad skinny but nevertheless beautiful, Angelina Jolie plays it up in a classic black Jenny Packham gown paired with Gucci shoes. The halter-styled outfit channeled Jolie’s inner vixen, paired with a Louis Vuitton clutch and vintage jewels from House of Lavande and Platt Boutique. Need we say that she also has the best “accessory” (read: Brad Pitt). Always so classy, she is.
Emma Stone took fashion to the highest level with her dramatic entrance at the awards. She stood out from her peers in a stunning cocktail-length dress from Sarah Burton’s Pre-Fall 2012 Collection for Alexander McQueen. The black dress’ strapless embellished neckline tapered into a small waist and an opulent, mid-calf length skirt.
Nevermind that, we want that gold-accented statement clutch!
It takes a truly confident woman to wear red against red at any awards show. Sashaying in red hot Valentino and “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role” nominee is Michelle Williams. Really, it doesn’t matter if she bags the award because her outfit, completed with Roger Vivier “Cage” sandals and Fred Leighton featuring Forevermark jewels was already outstanding on its own!
