Stranger Things Is Coming To Universal Studios Singapore – But Wait, There’s More!

Season 3 of Stranger Things is definitely coming, though it’s still unclear when, or which weekend you should free up in advance for a full-on binge-fest.

However, you don’t have to wait much longer if you’re hoping to experience the upside down world of small town Hawkins, because Universal Studios Singapore is bringing the Netflix mega-hit series to life at its annual Halloween Horror Nights instalment — marking the first time that the streaming service will be a part of the tourism industry.

Designed to transport visitors right to the Upside Down, familiar elements from Season 1 of the hit show will be integrated into a series of specially constructed mazes, where guests will be stalked by the Demogorgon.

“From the menacing Hawkins National Laboratory, under the U.S. Department of Energy, to the Byers home adorned with an erratic display of flashing Christmas lights and the eerie Upside Down woods oozing a shower of floating orb-like spores, the chilling new mazes will offer surprising twists and unexpected turns around every corner,” Universal said in a statement.

Halloween Horror Nights begins in Singapore on September 28. If you’re interested, more details and ticket info can be found here.

In stranger news..

Stranger Things creators Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer have been sued for allegedly stealing the idea for the hit show from Charlie Kessler’s short film Montauk. The filmmaker and his agents reportedly pitched a Montauk-inspired series to the Duffer Brothers when they met at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2014, but apparently did not express interest.

In April 2015, Netflix announced the Duffer Brothers’ series initially titled Montauk, which would eventually become Stranger Things in 2016. Charlie Kessler is asking for compensation and “destruction of all materials that were allegedly ripped off from his concept.”

FYI.

While a premiere date for Season 3 has not been set yet, production will begin later this month. We got word that all of the casts will be getting a BIG pay rise, 12 times bump from their Season 1 and 2 salaries, which was $20,000 per episode previously to $250,000 per episode in Season 3, while the adults and the main star Eleven will be sitting on up to $350,000 an episode.
