If you’re a K-drama buff, chances are your obsession began many years ago with Winter Sonata – the OG and deeply moving Korean drama series starring heartthrob Bae Yong Joon and popular actress Choi Ji Woo. Most Korean dramas have a happy ending, and we’re happy to report that Choi, too, just recently got hers in real life!
The 42-year-old K-drama star surprised her fans by getting married just a few days back, and her nuptials was only revealed just hours before it took place! She shared a photo of a handwritten note on her fan club website saying, “Today is the day I have promised a new beginning with my partner for life.”
It has been reported that her life partner isn’t someone known in the entertainment industry, and her agency YG Entertainment also revealed that the pair had an intimate and private wedding ceremony, witnessed only by close family members. The couple has been dating for a year.
Choi began her acting career with the drama series War and Love in 1995, and has then gone on to star in almost 30 South Korean TV series, including Stairway to Heaven and her latest, The Most Beautiful Goodbye. Congratulations!
