On Monday, has-been rapper Chris Brown was spotted in Miami with his hands wrapped around a woman’s neck as she was bent backwards – and boy, people sure have a lot of things to say about the ominous pictures. Choking
Forced to explain his actions, the 28-year-old star took to Instagram to set the record straight. He denied that there was any foul play and insisted the act was all in jest.
“THANKS for all the publicity today. Y’all know damn well I ain’t going down that road,” he wrote on social media. “There is no need to even defend myself on the matter. Everyone that’s around (girl/guy are my HOMIES. NO FOUL PLAY…NO IGNORANT S—T. END of discussion. LOVE.”
In the photos, the “Run It” hitmaker, who has a history of domestic violence, is seen with his hands around a woman’s neck before a second female friend appears to step in and put her arms to Chris’ chest. The woman looks distressed in several of the images but later smiles as Brown releases his grip.
His attorney Mark Geragos made an official announcement, saying, “She’s a friend. It’s obviously playful as she confirmed. Whoever invaded their privacy will be held accountable.”
The star and a group of friends were reportedly staying at a rented home during the Ultra electronic music festival in the city. But of course, Twitter users didn’t miss a beat in sharing their own opinions:

Knowing his history he shouldn’t be engaging in such “horseplay” with women even if if all for fun! That’s a red flag!!! #chrisbrown pic.twitter.com/8AotmWJmK0
