Malaysia’s former Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, who is now the leader of an opposition party named Pakatan Harapan, has finally joined the uber popular social media site Instagram, under the handle @chedetofficial.
The 92-year-old politician debuted his first post with a cute snapshot of his wife Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali and him, laughing together side by side.
“Today, I am starting my Instagram account with a picture of me and Hasmah. My wife of 62 years who has always been by my side,” Dr. M gushed about his partner.
He continued, “As doctors, laughter is indeed the best medicine.” Indeed it is, sir.
The account which was launched yesterday (15 March 2018, Thursday) has currently gained 56.5k followers, and follows only five other Instagram accounts that include Unicef, Armada Bersatu, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, PPBM KEDAH, and Pakatan Harapan.
