If you’ve ever hopped onto a tram in London, you’d know how convenient this step-free mode of transport is. And while it may seem physically impossible to integrate a tram system right in the middle of our busy city centre, the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) is looking into implementing one in Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Klang and Bangi.

Aimed at promoting a more efficient transport solution and enhanced accessibility, the proposed 53km tram network will be linked to the MRT 1 line in Kajang, as well as the upcoming MRT 2 and High Speed Rail (HSR) lines. According to reports, the government has already approved of such plans.
The said tram system ought to be cost-efficient, environmentally-friendly, and help alleviate congestion amidst those areas aforementioned. How exciting?! We can’t wait to find out how our trams would look like..
