Introducing Shudu Gram, the Instagram model you’ll never meet.
When we first heard about this virtual woman, we were.. how young people say it — SHOOK. With flawless dark skin, striking bone structure and piercing stare, this stunning model has the looks that could easily make her as fashion’s next It Girl.
But you won’t see her on the catwalk with Gigi or Kendall anytime soon – because she is actually just a computer-generated image. Shudu is the creation of British photographer Cameron-James Wilson, 28, who has spent the last decade working in the fashion industry.
She has already grabbed the attention of brands and made headlines when a picture of her ‘wearing’ one of Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty lipstick shades, which was reposted by the brand’s official Instagram account.

Her jaw-dropping look and attention to detail has led many fans to praise her beauty, with one person posting on Instagram: “Wow you don’t even look real sooo perfect.” While another said: “Now this is the illustration of the phrase, ‘God took his time on you.'”
And one person posted: “You are literally a living Barbie.”
Speaking to journalist Isiuwa Igodan, the photographer explained that he has always enjoyed drawing women and that Shudu initially began as a creative project without any purpose. He said the model is an embodiment of all of his passions.
“Creating her really helped me to deal with things that I was going through at the time. I wouldn’t say that she had any real purpose, it was just because I wanted to. I’m driven to create beautiful depictions of women, I don’t really know why, but as long as I can remember I would sit and draw women, my school textbooks were more sketchbooks than anything useful to my education.”
“The point is really that I’m doing something I love,” revealed Cameron-James Wilson.
“I love technology, Sci-fi films, gaming, CGI movies like Final Fantasy, Shudu is just everything I’m passionate about brought together. She embodies the best parts of the things that inspire me.”
