Last Friday, handsome movie star Idris Elba has successfully proposed to his beauty queen girlfriend, 29-year-old Sabrina Dhowre, at a screening for his new movie Yardie in London.
Although it’s unclear how the pair initially met each other, 45-years-old Idris was first spotted looking cosy with Sabrina (who was crowned Miss Vancouver in 2014) in Manchester in August 2017, but reports suggest that they have been secretly seeing each other since March.

Note: The Luther actor once claimed marriage was off the cards just six months ago after two divorces. “Am I ever gonna get remarried? I don’t think so,” he said.
“Yeah, I don’t think so. Marriage is an institution of sorts. And I’ve done it. It’s not for everybody. It’s not my life’s calling.”

One guest at the screening captured the moment on video, showing Idris Elba getting down on one knee with a ring box as the audience responded loudly.
Clearly taken by surprise, Sabrina was seen emotionally holding her hands up to her face while Idris popped up to give her a warm hug.

The Rio Cinema was quick to share the engagement news on Twitter, posting a photo of the Luther star and captioning it, “Still 5 days to Valentines Day but @idriselba went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend live on stage this morning before a preview of his film #Yardie”.
“She said yes and there was much clapping and cheering,” the venue wrote in response to a fan asking for more info.
