Sports apparel brand Under Armour has unveiled its latest innovation in footwear — HOVR — which is designed with a cushioning platform engineered to offer the ideal combination of digital and physical technologies that promise comfort and performance.
The company says the new foam has an “energy web” that provides both a “zero-gravity feel” (hence the name) and energy return for runners which makes the shoe wearers feel better and perform better on the tracks as well as on the treadmill.
In other words, with HOVR, the shoe is absorbing some of the impact your body would normally feel, aiding in your comfort and keeping your legs fresh for the road ahead.
We have been told that it also works great for those who suffer from physical trauma such as knee injuries, and still want to keep a healthy lifestyle.
The collection comes in two models — one focused on comfort and lifestyle, called the Phantom (RM699), while another one is focused on speed and distance, called the Sonic (RM549). Honestly, we think the shoes may look a little like Rolls-Royce’s well-loved luxury car Phantoms. So cool!
