The thrills and drills of Penang’s ESCAPE theme park just reached a whole new level as they have announce plans of building the world’s longest water slide. Scheduled to open its doors to the public by December 2018, the water slide along with a few other hilltop attractions are part of the theme park’s new activity category – Gravityplay.
Spanning over one whole kilometre long, the latest water ride will send park-goers 420 meters high by chairlift to reach the beginning of the water slide, located on a hilltop. Besides the slide, the hilltop is also set to commence other rides such as the luge (downhill sleds), zip coasters and tubby slides.
Painting an image of what the world’s longest water slide would be like, the founder of ESCAPE, Sim Choo Kheng verbally illustrates the ride, describing, “From the hilltop, people will zoom down the slide which will cross Jalan Teluk Bahang beside a pedestrian link bridge and end in a swimming pool inside our water theme park.”
Being rated on TripAdvisor as one of the top theme parks in Malaysia, ESCAPE houses a series of exciting rides and fun activities in a natural environment.
