You know those insane job ads that claim they’d pay you to travel the world? Well, it may seem like a far-fetched dream for some, but this lucky Australian woman was in fact fortunate enough to land such a job, and she just returned home from globetrotting after her 13-week adventure.

28-year-old photographer and social media influencer Sorelle Amore was one of 50,000 applicants to apply for upmarket travel club ThirdHome’s job posting, and she beat everyone to land the Best Job on the Planet, which meant that she would be paid US$30,000 to travel the world for three months from August to October, travelling to 12 luxurious destinations.

Over 17,000 people were shortlisted for the job, and all of them had to submit videos, before writing blogposts and showcasing their marketing skills. The final stage of the whole competition then involved the applicants submitting their personal videos in order to garner votes from their followers.

Amore’s 13-week adventure began in a mystical castle in Scotland and ended in Sydney. She spent six days in each of the 12 luxurious home she stopped by, and explored its surrounding areas, shooting video and photographing the homes and the region. In between, she even got her social media and blogging work done.

The other destinations Amore visited included Bali, The Bahamas, Croatia, Fiji, Morocco, Costa Rica, Spain and China. She was also given a $10,000 per month fee, a travel allowance, and the chance to invite a friend along for the journey. It’s safe to say that her Instagram account is akin to flipping through a National Geographic magazine – it’s just absolutely enviable!
