Continuing the positive relationship between Japan and Malaysia, and in conjunction with the celebration of the significant milestone in Japan-Malaysia relations marked by the 30th anniversary of the Look East Policy in 2012, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur will be holding the Northern Japan Fair at their very own Tokyo Street this entire weekend.
Officiated by the Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, HE Shigeru Nakamura, and supported by the Japan embassy of Malaysia, the Northern Japan Fair will give Malaysians a glimpse of the exquisite offering of the beautiful northern region of Japan.
For two-days only (14th and 15th January 2012), the fair will consist of an introduction to the Japanese culture and scenic landscape, a chance for shoppers to experience authentic Japanese food (especially those from the Tohoku area), a photo exhibition (primarily focusing on the Tohoku region) and a whole lot more!
At the opening ceremony earlier today, we witnessed a showcase of the Japanese Drum Performance by Namahage Sato-Kagura – a group established in 2022 which has been actively performing in Japan and overseas. And dare we say, it was a breathtaking show, to say the least:
